Sponsor-A-Kennel Program for
MCPAWS Regional Animal Shelter
Now you can pay tribute to a loved one while helping to support the
MCPAWS Regional Animal Shelter. Sponsoring a cat or dog kennel at the Shelter
will assist with much needed, ongoing operational costs associated with
maintaining care for the animals, such as pet food, litter boxes, food/water
dishes, and medicine. The name of your honored pet, relative or friend will be tastefully
displayed on the kennel, with the option of including the sponsoring party's
name (s). It's a thoughtful and meaningful way to commemorate the life of a pet or loved one. Sponsoring a kennel
can also simply be an opportunity to support a worthy cause,
something anyone can do, even if you don't have a pet! For those sponsorships,
the sponsor name will be displayed on the kennel.
MCPAWS welcomes cat or dog kennel
sponsorships for:
1 month: $10.00
6 months: $50.00
1 year: $100.00
Lifetime: $1000.00+
If you are interested in sponsoring a kennel, please contact:

Events

The Fourth, Every-Other-Annual,
Auction for the Animals
Benefit Party
was held August 5, 2006
at the Spring Mountain Ranch House in McCall.
Wonderful weather! Wonderful participants! Even a
MCPAWS puppy adoption!
A huge thank you
to all who attended, and those who supported
MCPAWS with donations of goods,
services and auction items. Hats off to the hard-working
MCPAWS
staff, volunteers, and supporters that made this event possible--
you
are the best!
McCall Pet Outfitters
and John Corcoran will
generously sponsor Santa Paws 2007.
Join us Saturday December
8th with your canine, or feline friends! Santa Paws will be on hand;
photographers Joy & Howard Hamilton and
MCPAWS
will be creating holiday photo cards. A $5 recommended donation for a photo card
will go directly to the care of critters at the shelter, and you'll find
TONS of wonderful critter gifts at McCall Pet Outfitters. We'll see you
Saturday, December 8th, from noon to 4p.m.,
at 200 Lenora Street in McCall. Call 634-DOGS for more information.
WHAT A GREAT TURNOUT!
We met all kinds of dogs and even a couple of ferrets made a visit! Thank you
McCall Pet Outfitters and Santa,
for hanging in there for the whole afternoon (and then some). And thanks also to
all of the folks that patiently waited in line and took care to see that their
pets waited nicely too! Last but certainly not least, kudos to the MCPAWS
volunteers that put the event together-- without you, Santa Paws simply would
not happen! We're looking forward to putting on an even more successful event in
2008, with more photo options, and a special 'Cats
Only' hour to bring in some of your favorite
felines.

giving trees
During the holiday season
MCPAWS
places Giving Trees at Paul's
and Ridley's
grocery stores,
and McCall Pet Outfitters in McCall. Tree ornaments designate 'shelter-helpful' items
to purchase, and customers add those items to their grocery carts. After
checkout, Giving Tree purchases are donated to
MCPAWS.
Enthusiasm for this project is tremendous; we are thankful for the generosity of each of you that support the
shelter, and to the McCall businesses that help
MCPAWS
carry out this project. Each gift is greatly appreciated at
MCPAWS-- thank you!

MCPAWS Spay & Neuter Incentive Program:
In early March 2001,
MCPAWS
proudly introduced the
Spay
& Neuter Incentive Program
(Yes, that's right...
S.N.I.P!)
SNIP!
was launched on MCPAWS'
third anniversary, in an effort to reach out to the community and motivate local
residents to have their pets spayed or neutered. Our area has no low-cost
spay/neuter clinics available, and thanks to the generous contributions of MCPAWS
supporters, SNIP!,
a Spay and Neuter Incentive Program, was created to benefit Valley County pet owners.
A lottery-type drawing is held weekly with one
lucky cat owner and one lucky dog owner selected to receive the
SNIP! Discount for their pet's spay or neuter surgery. Entry forms are found at area vet
clinics and MCPAWS Regional Animal Shelter.
Winners receive a SNIP! voucher for a 50% discount on the spay
or neuter surgery of their dog or cat-- pet owners pay half the cost of the
surgery and MCPAWS pays the other half! Senior Citizens get
an even greater discount for their pets!
MCPAWS
hopes
SNIP! will cause
area pet owners to really take notice and work toward preventing pet
over-population. 30-60% of animals brought to shelters & impound
facilities in the U.S.A. are euthanized. SNIP! allows pet owners to be
part of the solution for eliminating that overwhelmingly grim statistic. Eventually, with the help of our community, we hope there will
be no unwanted pets, but permanent, loving homes for all of them.
Consider:
One female dog & one male dog and their offspring can produce
over 4,000 pups in 6 years. One female cat & and one male cat
and their offspring can
produce over 400,000 kittens in 7 years.
do
the math--
SNIP! is making a difference!
NOTE: until
further notice, the S.n.i.p!
drawing is operating
on a limited basis, due to funding shortages.
