Community Resources

One of the goals of MCPAWS Regional Animal Shelter is to support members of the community that are in need of pet-related services. MCPAWS can be a source of information for those struggling with behavior and obedience issues, or a source of help during those financially challenging times in our lives when pets too often come second so we can meet the needs of our families. Before you decide to surrender your beloved family pet, please realize that there is help. Giving up an animal can be a very hard decision- one that with a little time, love, and patience- does not have to be made. If you are struggling with behavioral issues, call or visit MCPAWS. Our staff is very knowledgeable about why cats and dogs do the things they do (and why they don't do what we want). We also have a variety of literature and handouts to provide extra information and support you throughout training. In the event we cannot provide required guidance, we'll point you in the direction of someone who can. If you are facing a financial crisis for any reason, and are unsure if you will be able to keep your pets, please call MCPAWS at (208) 634-DOGS or stop by (831 S. 3rd St.). There is help available!
