Often, older animals make the most delightful pets. They have sown their wild oats, climbed the furniture, scratched the curtains, and had their house-training accidents. They have lived and learned, they are ready to settle down in a loving home and experience the happiness and security they so richly deserve. Unlike youngsters whose still-developing personalities can be a mystery, it's easier to identify their characteristics and select a pet that will fit into the family. They'll tell you if they like children and other animals, so there are fewer unpleasant surprises.
At MCPAWS, dogs and cats ages eight and over are Red Collar Pets. These older animals are ready to put the past behind them and enjoy life. While some older pets, like older humans, are content to snooze in a sunny spot, others are raring to go, playful, and full of life.

Yoda would do best in a home with no dogs to upset her, but has lived with children and is very friendly with other cats. Talkative and glad to share her opinion, this is the perfect girl for anyone who would like to curl up and have a nice chat.
